Terms of Service  ·  Effective 27 October 2026

Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Bicycle for using the website, the Bicycle app and Bicycle Cloud.

These terms cover bysicle.com, the Bicycle app for Mac, and Bicycle Cloud (together, the "Service"). "Bicycle", "we" and "us" mean the operator of the Service. By downloading, installing or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organisation, you agree for that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Bicycle app on Macs you own or control, and to use Bicycle Cloud, while you follow these terms. The Service is licensed to you, not sold.

2. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, source and object code, prompts, model configurations, algorithms, designs, interfaces, documentation and the Bicycle name and logos, is the intellectual property of Bicycle and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade secret and other laws. Except for the licence above, these terms give you no rights in it. Third-party open-source components are licensed under their own terms, listed in the app's Acknowledgements window.

3. What you may not do

You may not, and may not permit, help or instruct anyone else (including any person, AI agent or automated tool) to:

  1. decompile, disassemble, decrypt, reverse engineer, or otherwise try to derive the source code, prompts, models, algorithms, data formats or internal structure of any part of the Service;
  2. use reverse-engineering, binary-analysis, debugging, traffic-interception or scraping tools, or AI agents, agent skills or MCP servers built for these purposes, to inspect, extract, record, or reproduce any part of the Service, its network traffic, or its outputs at scale;
  3. copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the Service, or use the Service or any knowledge gained from inspecting it to build, train, or improve a competing product, feature or model;
  4. rent, sell, sublicense, redistribute or host the Service for others, or share your account;
  5. remove, bypass or disable any licensing, usage limit, security or technical protection in the Service, or remove proprietary notices;
  6. access Bicycle Cloud other than through the Bicycle app or interfaces we publish, or exceed or evade its usage limits;
  7. use the Service to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or harm, harass or deceive others.

Doing any of these is outside your licence and is an infringement of our intellectual property and a breach of these terms. It ends your licence immediately and without notice, and we may suspend your account, seek an injunction, and pursue every other remedy the law allows. These restrictions apply except where applicable law expressly gives you a right to do something despite a contractual limit, and then only to the extent and for the purpose that law allows. If you believe the law gives you such a right, write to us first at marmik@bysicle.com; we may provide the information you need.

4. Your account

Bicycle Cloud needs an account. Give us accurate details, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least 18 to use the Service. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

5. Your content

You keep all rights in what you say, type, upload and create with the Service ("your content"). You give us permission to process your content only to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your content to train AI models. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you use with the Service.

6. Agents, providers and actions on your Mac

Bicycle can hand work to AI agents and tools on your Mac and can use AI providers you connect. Those agents act with the permissions you give them on your machine and may read, change or delete files, run commands, or act in other apps and services. Review what you ask them to do. You are responsible for the actions you approve and for your use of third-party providers, which is governed by their own terms.

7. AI output

Answers, explanations, code and other output are generated by AI and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check output before you rely on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, security or safety decisions.

Bicycle Cloud may have usage limits and paid plans. We will show prices before you are charged. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the Service. Parts of the Service are in early access and may change without notice.

9. Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other people. Sections 2, 3, 5, 7 and 11 to 14 continue after these terms end.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Bicycle is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from the Service. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and INR 5,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You will defend and compensate Bicycle against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek an injunction to protect our intellectual property in any court with jurisdiction.

15. General

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Using the Service after that means you accept the new terms. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to a successor. Contact: marmik@bysicle.com.
